Mississippi and NOLA

March 7, 2014

Slight rant: someone made an indirect comment to me yesterday saying that I am not taking life seriously and that I’m not focused on my future (by way of career, etc.). Well, I have to say I don’t believe that anyone has the right to judge another’s style of life. I can only feel sorry for this person for their lack of passion and happiness, because if they don’t believe I take life seriously than their life must be missing something? The world is an incredibly large, vast, and magnificent place and I look at life as being given the opportunity to take advantage of this world. There is an unbelievable plethora of places to go, of people to meet, and of things to see and do. I have no complaints about the way I live my life because at the end of the day I know that I am doing what I want to be doing, and that is enjoying the time I have by making the absolute most of it.

Sorry. I don’t usually let that stuff get to me, but I don’t agree with judging people.

On a happier side note… I went to NOLA for Mardi Gras! Mm, what fun! If you recall my posts last year from Mississippi when I attended my friend’s wedding, you remember my dear friend Stephanie. I flew down to visit her, her husband Matt, and their son Matthew on Sunday and stayed through Wednesday.

The men smoked meat, we went to New Orleans for a day, and we simply had lots of fun (as always). Here are a few photos:

Ian (Matt’s friend) made me try deer sausage. I had no chance to say no. Yuck!

My last morning I was woken early to play trains with my favorite little ham!

And that was that.
I love visiting them.

Bed time, sweet dreams world.
Don’t forget to get out there and explore!
